2009 has been game changing year for Indian Politics. If 2008 saw America come out and vote a black man to White House, Change did come to India in 2009. If last five years were interlaced with two steps in reverse (read left direction) for every step taken forward, India will hope that next five years more than compensates for that.
Among all this twitter-mania, Mr L K Advani seems to have missed out. He was too busy appearing on blogs and RSS feeds.Bad Luck. This is 2009 , not 2007.

The followers of these Indian Politicians on Twitter are far less compared to their American Counterparts, but its growing day by day. By the time, next elections come around, We will surely have more politicians on Twitter. Probably they will be addressing huge rallies on Twitter with lots of followers. They wouldnt have to stand on dias and blurt out long drawn speeches ( Only 140 Chars allowed!). Folllowers wouldnt have to sit in hot sun. Politicians would not need to pay to bring people to their rallies. Possibilities are endless. Maybe Twitter by then would evolve into something that is unimaginable to most of us today. Maybe we would cast our votes with hand held devices using Apps similar to Twitter. You never know!
