Can you always get the best results with all the best ingredients?
YES you CAN if you have a GLOBAL SUPERSTAR who is extremely humble and listens to the director, a ravishing beauty who just glows during her screen time, a visionary director and a lot of moolah!
The movie ROBOT/ENDHIRAN proves once again that RAJINIKANTH IS THE UNDISPUTED GOD OF INDIAN CINEMA! A movie with such a AWESOMENESS level has not been seen on the Indian Celluloid for a long time.
ROBOT is the story of Dr.Vasigaran a robotics scientist who goes on to create a humanoid modeled on himself known as Chitti. Vasi creates him for the welfare of the people and for the Indian Army. Chitti in short is a superhuman and does all that a human can only imagine to do. The only problem with him is the lack of emotions which Vasi adds later which causes the main problem. Chitti discovers love as the first emotion falls in love with Sana (Aishwarya Rai) who is the love interest of Dr. Vasi. What follows is an epic battle between MAN and MACHINE.
Director Shankar has a fantastic record till now and his last few outings have been hugely successful- Shivaji-The Boss and Anniyan(Aparichit) and with ROBOT he is back with a BANG! He is one director who if comes to mainstream Bollywood can change the whole course of Bollywood cinema. He also has a near 100% percent record for all the films he directed till now. He has bought grandeur to Tamil Cinema and his movies exceed the previous one’s exponentially in terms on everything
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan does what she was needed to do in this movie-Look Fantastic and she performs her role extremely well looking fab in all her shots.
Now for Rajni: the man is simply a GOD! No amount of adjectives are enough for him. He acts natural and performs both the roles of Dr.Vasi and Chitti flawlessly. No other actor has such an aura in terms of screen presence. He has performed a negative role after a long time yet he still nails it.

The Legend Of Rajni - only Rajni can talk to mosquitoes!!
The Animatronics are the best you could find in any movie so far and not just an Indian movie. The songs are spectacular. Shankar shows the audience some of the best places in the world all for a few bucks. The locations are mind-blowing and totally unique to this movie. Shankar handpicked the locations for the songs and they are shot on a grand scale.
The cinematography is AWESOME. The Kilimanjaro song is shot in the exotic location of Machu Pichu one of the Seven Wonders in the world and is a treat to the eyes.
Walking away with applause is Mozart of India A R Rahman. All his songs are catchy, foot-tapping and trendy. The songs like ‘Pagal Anukan’, 'Naina Miley’ , ‘Boom Boom’ all evoke thunderous applause. Rahman's mastery in blending orchestration, harmony and rhythm add pep to all the numbers. The lyrics too compliment the songs and the theme of the movie. The Tamil versions are much better than Hindi ones. Do Listen to them.
The vision of Shankar in the climax is unparalleled and you have to watch it yourself to believe it. And if you think that One Rajni was enough then you better be on the lookout for the last 30 minutes of the movie.
The only flaw in the movie is its running time of 175 minutes. Although the editing is tight and crisp but still it feels long in some parts. A few minutes short and it would have been even greater a movie.
A 4 on 5 for GOD RAJNI’s ROBOT from me. There is simply nothing that RAJNI - ‘CAN’T’
P.S. -I remember watching SHIVAJI-THE BOSS First Day First Show in Tamil. That is the power of Rajni. He knows no language barrier!!
