Terminator Salvation - without Arnold!

For all those who believed in Arnold saying "I'll be back", here's a little disappointment. Terminator movies have finally moved on from Arnold saga and have found new heroes - Christian Bale and Sam Worthington.

The movie begins with the flashback of small time criminal Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington) confessing him killing his brother and two cops and surrenders his body to science for experiments. Camera rolls forward to 2018 where last of human alliances across the world are at war with skynet which has taken control and people are undergruond. Leading these groups is John Connor (Christian Bale) and is considered to hold the key to salvation. His primary targets - Save Kyle Rees (Anton Yelchin) and destroy Skynet. Who's Kyle Rees? He probably may be the only father who's younger than his son!! Crap!! (Watch the movie for details)

In the event a troop led by John raid one of the old skynet centers which spells doom for the troop and he is the only survivor left. The event breaks the long hibernation of Marcus Wright and he's surprised to find the world trund into a debris.

In the event of things in approaching the target John and Marcus have their paths crossed and Marcus finds out that he is half human. He believes he is human with only having a human heart and cyborg body with human tissue. What follows is hard core action sequences leading to predictable climax.

Christian Bale does justice to John Connor and has growled all the way to intensify the war-intended character sending messages across the world on radio. However, his Batman-ish growling voice does not always help as he delivers normal dialogues in same way as well and sometimes is not clear.

Though Bale is good, the character who steals attention from the main protagonist is Marcus Wright. Sam Worthington has got even more footage than Bale and almost does justice to his role. Although having a wooden face, he seems impressive.

Among the other characters, Anton Yelchin has given good performance as a fighting teenager.

There's a blink and miss role of Arnold (Animated Arnold actually) as "The Terminator" to finish John Connor.

The movie is about to end and the audience thinks that Terminator series is finally over, till John Connor blurts out another surprise.

The movie is a must watch for Terminator fans as this is much better version than the T3 episode. Director MCG still fails to reach the James Cameron level. For the sci-fi lovers, this is a good watch. If you are hard core Hindi movie fan, FORGET IT!! Terminator Lovers, just go for the music... Dha-Dhan Tan Ta-Tan

Terminator Salvation is all about Action & Deafening Sound - along with Animated Arnie!
Rating - 3/5

Key Factors: Christian Bale's intense looks and the hardcore action

Note: Please carry some cotton for your ears. The sound effects may make you go deaf.
