If you want to take a break from the monotonous daily routine and are tired of visiting the same old picnic spots, then 'Zilpi' Lake is the destination for you.
This picturesque spot, has a beautiful small lake surrounded by lush-green landscapes from all sides. Zilpi lake is located near Mohagaon village on Hingna Road approximately 25 kms from nagpur city.
Since it's located so close, you can also plan a bike ride to this place with friends. You can reach this place from Hingna road which has a heavy traffic but the last ten kilometers where you literally travel through forests and farmlands make the ride really enjoyable.
This place is not commercially developed yet, so atmosphere here is placid and pleasant and you will not find any persistent and annoying hawkers or noisy vehicles zooming past at breakneck speeds. The beautiful teak forests surrounding the lake add to the beauty of the lake.
It is also a perfect destination for bird watchers and photography enthusiasts as one can find many rare species of birds here. This place is teeming with visitors during the rainy season but not so much as to create a nuisance.
So if you are looking for a quick and quiet escapade from your daily routine, then zilpi lake is the place to be.
