Hello Nagpurians
It was really a memorable evening for the Tweeps from Nagpur when they came together for the meetup on May 1 2010 at Daya Chambers near Haldirams, Ajni.
The meetup started on a casual note with people introducing themselves. It was great occasion to meet new friends who we all knew virtually throgh their twitter handles & not by original names!. As soon as the ice broke, the tweeps came out of their shells and interesting discussions took place. Discussions ranged from various topics technical and non technical alike. The volunteers from Make A Diff (MAD) organization - Bhagyashree, Sukhada, Avantika - enlightened the tweeps about the various activities they undertake to help the underprivileged children.
The meet saw an attendance of 46 twitterers from Nagpur. If anybody had any doubt about nagpurians using twitter, it was laid to rest in this meetup! After the live discussion and debate, it was time for a short break. But soon after the break, some of the Twitter users demonstrated their singing skills and entertained everyone. Rohneet , A Twitter user left the audience in splits by mimicking Cricket Commentators and Indian Cricket Players. Sukhada & Mandar Deshmukh enthralled the audience with their superb songs. Some wonderful poetic lines from Tushar Joshi added to the overall excitement. It was an awesome evening for everybody & a truly fulfiling event.
All through out the event, there were tweets with tags #ngpmeet, #ngpmeetup which were displayed on the projector screen. The Twitter meetup ended with everyone deciding about the date and the agenda of the next Twitter Meetup. A short photo session followed later and everyone praised the arrangements made by the organizers. We have put up some photos of the Nagpur Twitter Meetup. Take a look!
