Radio Mirchi & Pulsar in association with Cotton King Mirchi Sound Check Event is going to kick start this sunday (21 Nov 2010, 5 PM) & the best rock bands are gearing up to play @ Empress Mall and entertain Nagpurians!
"Anonymous - The Band" is scheduled to perform on the big stage this sunday & you would not want to miss out on this opportunity to watch them perform LIVE! MH-31 caught up with 'Anonymous' at one of their jamming sessions.

Q: Tell us about how all of you guys came together.
(Vaibhav) The foundation of 'Anonymous' was laid in 2008. The love for music brought us together. We grew from strength to strength as more members joined. Most of us are from LMMC (Lata Mangeshkar medical college) except Rahul who is from Hislop College & Tejas who is the youngest of the group & studies in 9th standard in Xaviers High School!
Q: And why the name 'Anonymous' ?
(Abhijeet) Most of the good names were taken up by bad bands (laughs). So after lot of brainstorming we decided to call ourselves 'Anonymous' - As long as we play good music, people will surely remember us!
Q: Tell us about some of your performances.
(Rohit) We have peformed at YCCE (Yeshawant Rao Chavan College of Engg) , Priyadarshini college of Engineeering & twice at LMMC. Some of our upcoming performances are at karmazari for the LMMC Alumni event & then an event for the Rotary Club.
Q: Do you play a particular genre of music ? Any special likings ?
(Abhijeet) We are mostly into alternative rock.
Song improvisation is also an area of our interest where we work on giving a different feel to each song.
Q: Tell us about your band's memorable moments.
(Hiroj) When we played at the Priyadarshini college of Engineering, we received an overwhelming response. We had not expected it & it was truly gratifying. Also playing at our college LMMC, in front of 'home' crowd was wonderful. Few months back, we also played at Radio Mirchi Studio & it was a great feeling!
Q: Which are your favourite bands (Indian / Foreign) ?
We like Indian Ocean, Strings, Jal , Metallica, Guns n Roses, Nirvana & Coldplay.
Q: So what binds 'Anonymous' together ?
(Rahul) It is definitely the understanding between all of us.
There is hardly a moment where we are at logger heads with each other - except sometimes just before a performance (laughs). There are few disagreements but these things happen. All of us understand our role in the band very well & we back each other to perform our best!
Q: What are the future plans for 'Anonymous' ?
To continue playing at our best. Since few of us are in our final year of studies, we will move on. New members will come & play in the band. Whatever happens, Nagpur will surely continue to hear more of 'Anonymous' with new members & many more achievements!
Q: What are you going to play this sunday at the "Mirchi Sound Check" event?
(Abhijeet) You got to be there to know!
We are going to play some retro numbers that Nagpurians would love to hear. I am sure, no other band in nagpur would play the songs that we have finalized for the event. We would be playing a mix of hindi & english numbers.
