About a month ago, while I was working as an intern in an ad agency, my thoughts were no less different. Though working was fun, I would wait all week long…for that one day!
After making some quick calls to some close friends, I knew it…I knew that it was gonna be a great weekend!
Next morning at 6am, I heard horns honking below my building…and I knew it was time for a super duper Sunday ROADTRIP! Six friends, 3 bikes, a sunny day and fuel tanks full!!! What else can one ask for???
Aadasa, our destination was an hour long ride. But before we left the city limits, we wanted to fill our growling tummies. A quick bite at our very favorite Gokul Brindavan was all that we wanted to give it a great start. The steamy butter onion uttappams and the south Indian filter coffee kick started the trip.
One hour of bike rides was total fun! The highways added to the fun of biking. After an hour of continuous riding, we reached Aadasa. This place is better known as one of Vidarbha’s own Ashtavinayak. The temple premises are beautiful and calm. The greenery of the place adds to its serenity. We had a nice, fulfilling darshan at the temple. The place gave us a lot of reasons to love it.
We looked for a nice calm place where we could sit. We found a perfect tree with just the perfect amount of shade. It was like the ones that we see in movies. And we did just what they do in movies- laid down our sheets, took out our food and made the place the perfect picnic spot. The spot was strategically placed. From this spot, we could look down on the green valley and enjoy our food. Every place and everything just seems to become great when you are with friends…everything just seems to fall at place.
Our fun did not seem to end. As we saw the sun go down, we knew it was time to go back home. With a heavy but content heart, we mounted our bikes, bid a farewell to our temporary heaven at Aadasa and left back towards Nagpur!
