One of its kind & central India's largest, VNIT QuizFest is back to challenge you! With active participation from all over India and from corporate quizzers, Quizfest is an exposition of knowledge and provides an ideal platform for highly-skilled participants to pit their wits against each other. Quizfest plans to widen its reach and intensify its impact by conducting, in the months preceding it, workshops on Rubik's Cube and its many variants, and precursors such as online treasure hunts, JAM events and the like.
QuizFest 2012 is scheduled for 17th - 19th February.

Main Quizzes
a. Sports Quiz
The world of sports is something most of us have delved into at some point is our lives, and which most of us still follow it passionately. This gives the perfect ruse to examine and explicate the plethora of good facts, unusual trivia and a large dose of light quizzing at our disposal. The Sports
quiz has been extremely popular in the last two editions of Quizfest.
b. Arts, Literature and Entertainment Quiz
Any form of art is a projection of the artist’s definition of perfection, and this has made art and its adaptations highly dominant in popular culture as something that symbolises perfection. The Arts, Literature and Entertainment Quiz is one of the most intensely competitive quizzes at Quizfest.
c. Science and Tech Quiz
This quiz covers the science and technology facet of our day-to-day lives. With questions ranging from complex computing theories to evolution to mathematical paradoxes to engineering marvels, this quiz attracts enthusiastic participation from premier engineering institutes all over the country.
d. General Quiz
As the name suggests, this quiz has something for everyone. Attracting the maximum participation during Quizfest, this quiz provides the perfect platform for those with nerve, tenacity and real mettle to script their name in quizzing folklore.
e. Corporate Quiz
The Corporate Quiz comes with all the glitz, glamour, and inspiration and allure of the business world. This quiz provides a medium for the contestants to experience the plethora of fun facts and occurrences of and relive the cut-throat competition of the business world, as they strive to be crowned
champions.
f. School Kids Quiz
School Kids quiz is a platform for all the school kids to showcase their quizzing talents. The quiz is exclusively for school level students. It aims at promoting awakening the Sherlock Holmes to figure out the unknown.

Informals
The informals are filler events that complete Quizfest. The event structure here is highly flexible to suit the needs of the participants and keep them occupied throughout the event. Comprising of On-the-spot Quizzes, crosswords, and the like, these events run throughout the day, require no pre-requisites and therefore exact maximum participation. Here are some of planned events that Mag.com intends to conduct
1. Pictionary : describe the picture, guess the picture. Participants in pairs only. One in the pair describes a word and the other draws and guesses what it is.
2. Scrabble: Need we say more?
3. Language Treasure Hunt: a race to finish the list of words found in the college. Participants are provided with clues of words and they are required to find it out where they are.
4. Quick Talk: a swift debating session, time bound but not language bound. Use any of English or Hindi and debate like no one’s listening. Put your point in 60 seconds or you lose…
5. Hyde Park: it’s one place to talk, talk and talk…only till someone else has a point to make. Express yourself in open air, as loud as you can. The longer you last without being stopped by someone else, the closer you inch to glory…
6. Statesman: a not-so-classic essay writing competition. Connect the things you see in an audio-visual clip and make a believable essay. If we take you word for it, you take away the prize!

Just-A-Minute
Just-A-Minute, or JAM as it is popularly abbreviated, headlines the literary events at Quizfest. The participants are expected to speak extempore continuously for the duration of 60 seconds while adhering to a rigid set of rules, the observance of which is observed by the JAM-master. This event is highly entertaining, uncovers some of the best literary talents in the country, and demands a robust attendance.

About Quiz Pro Co
Quiz Pro Co. is VNIT's quizzing club. One of its oldest clubs and also its most active, QPC has gained its reputation by organising intellectually stimulating yet entertaining quizzes. Apart from that, QPC also caters to literary events like Just A Minute (JAM), a tough and highly entertaining test of the participant's literary skill, impromptu speaking as also his wit and humour. QPC also conducts weekly activities like Mental Floss and organises online treasure hunts for all major events in the college.
