Sky gazers are in for a celestial treat as the longest total solar eclipse of the 21st century can be witnessed on Wednesday 22 July 2009. Provided the skies open up and there is no cloud cover eclipsing the eclipse! Although Nagpur is not in the totality belt, Nagpurians can enjoy 96% of the eclipse. The eclipse will be visible on 22 July from 6:23 Am to 7:24 Am.
Keeping its tradition, Raman Science Center, Nagpur has made arrangements for visitors to view this celestial treat with proper safety. Raman Science Center will also show a simulated version during the time of the eclipse. Dont worry if you are too lazy to get to Raman Science Center.
