Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science (K.I.T.S) was estabilished in Ramtek in the year 1985. It was established by the Vodithala Education Society with a view to impart education in the fields of engineering and science. The former Prime Minister Hon. Sri. P. V. Narsimha Rao, the then M.P. from the Ramtek Lok Sabha constituency was instrumental in setting up this engineering college. The college is spread in an area of about 50 acres and is about 3 Km from the Ramtek town on the Ramtek-Mouda road. It is affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) and is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

The college offers four-year Bachelor of Engineering degree courses in-

  • Civil Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electronics Engineering
  • Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
  • Computer Technology
  • Information Technology
  • Electrical Engineering

The college also offers two-year Master of Engineering courses in-

  • Heat & Power Engineering
  • Electronics Engineering
  • Structural Engineering

For admissions to B.E. degree courses, the college accepts MH-CET scores and for admissions to M.Tech degree courses the college accepts GATE scores.

The college boasts of excellent infrastructural facilities like Seminar/Conference halls, Sports complex, well-equipped laboratories, computing facilities with 604 computer terminals and 11 servers, hostel facilities for boys as well as girls etc.

The college has excellent placement record with companies like Tech Mahindra, Patni Computers, L&T Infotech, Zensar Limited, HSBC, Bajaj Electrical Ltd., KEC International Limited, Accenture, Tata Auto Limited, Syntel, TCS, Ambuja Cement, Persistent Systems Ltd, Cognizant Limited etc. visiting the campus every year to recruit students.
